3 DAYS TO 2014

Hello everyone, how's your Christmas celebration? This year celebrations for me was so-so. The gifts received was meh only. I'm not those that wish for expensive present but some sincerity in getting the gift should be put in (at least). But some people just used free/unwanted stuff and wrapped it. Is like what-the-hell right?! Okay, forget about those unhappy stuff.
My boyfriend gave me the best Christmas present, a short getaway to Batam. Don't ever blame yourself not able to give me the best because I think all this you have gave me are the best of the best already. I'm one happy girl in this world.

So I was there in Batam for 2days 1night. Stayed in Harmoni One hotel located 5minutes away from Batam Centre Ferry Terminal and Mega Mall. There is no transport from the ferry terminal to hotel so the only way is to take a taxi. There is no way you can walk because from what I see there is no pathway at all! (FYI. The charges for taxi is fixed so don't bother trying to lower the price. From Mega Mall Taxi Stand to Hotel is 50,000RP)

We had lunch at Black Canyon Coffee. Meal was so-so but for the sake of WIFI. Password is milkshake
First look at the picture, it gives me the very grand feeling and my expectation was so-so because I didn't dare to much hope. Afterall, it didn't disappoint me at all. I really love the hotel!
What you see from the picture is what you get.

Check-in was available after 2pm and we arrived at the hotel at about 2pm. My advise to all that are traveling to Batam. Mega Mall opens at 11am so booked the ferry ticket that arrives after 11am or else you will have to rot around the ferry terminal.

The view of my room.

Booked my hotel through booking.com and it is cheaper than the website itself. Please take note that it may state that booking.com will not charge your credit card but the hotel will hold your money till you check-out. I wasn't informed about till I checked with my bank.

As Harmoni One Hotel is new, you would expect everything to be in good conditions. I didn't take a picture of my toilet because boyfriend and I were urgent so we rushed to the toilet right away. Don't worry! The toilet looks damn grand as well but the bad thing is we didn't soak ourselves in the bathtub because there isn't any hot water :( As in the hot water wasn't hot but cold! Everything else is okay to me.

They do provide free shuttle bus services to 3 Shopping Malls ( Mega Mall, Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall and Batam City Square shopping Mall) It starts from 4pm and limited seats available. We managed to book the slot to Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall but there is no seat available for the return trip. Nagoya Hill is worth going because the choices of food are much more than Mega Mall and more stuffs to look/shop around. Before the trip I googled about eating and found out Kengan Cafe. The salted egg chicken attracted me so we had dinner there.

So here's the meal for 2pax and costing about $6 per person. Very cheap!
Wifi is available. Password: kengan123
This is the BOMB! MUST ORDER WHENEVER YOU GO BATAM! AVOCADO JUICE <3

After dinner, we walked around and shop a little gift for ourselves! No picture because the item is with boyfriend :) And since we didn't get to take the hotel shuttle bus, we took a taxi back which cost us 70,000RP (FIXED PRICE). Back to hotel, showered, watch tv and sleep!
Breakfast was a little disappointing but the service was good. After breakfast, I had a nap before we check-out. Check-out was like shit. We had to queue to check-out instead of dropping key like some hotel. They need to walkie their staffs to check on our room before they could let us go.

Booked 5.30pm ferry back to Singapore, so we had time to spare before heading to ferry terminal. We chilled at Starbuck and play arcade. The arcade there is super cheap but the conditions of the machines are sucky.

Had a quick dinner before I rush back to Pasir Ris to attend one of my closest Secondary School's friend birthday party! I'm so glad I make it back to sing Happy birthday song for you!

#46 Hello December

So here we are on the last month of the year 2013. Time flies! I started off my first day of December bad because I was caught in the rain the whole afternoon yesterday while at work. My uniform and jacket was soaking wet and my staff canteen has aircon. I was shivering while eating. My lovely colleagues got me dry jacket and towel so that I will feel better. I was so touched by their move :)

So today, I slept so much that I woke up in the afternoon. Went over to the bank in the evening and also to meet boyfriend. We planned to have dinner at Sushi Express which was newly opened at Tampines One. We were expecting long queue since it was dinner time so we waited awhile before we got our set. It was stated outside that you only have 40minutes of time to have your meal so that others waiting get a chance to eat too. After getting our seats, we were served by this staff and he was explaining to us since it was our first time. I was rather pissed because he assumed I could understand chinese. Yes, I do understand chinese but my chinese is rather weak. He speaks so fast and I didn't really get it. I even replied him in English and he still speaks to me in Chinese. No, I believe from his accents, he is not from China.

I was expecting the food to be good because I read many comments about it. But it was disappointing. The quality of food was bad. Boyfriend took Tuna for his first plate and it's actually placed on the belt for a long period. I think they should take note the amount of time the food was placed on the belt. There was shortage of stuff like chopsticks and cups. I had to ask them to top up it in order to start eating. For your information, they do not served any other drink, other than hot green tea. Don't even bother asking the staff because they do not attend to you for any orders. So if you do not drink green tea then too bad! We didn't had much choices of food so had more of salmons than anything else. We sat there for 40mintues and most of the time spent waiting and choose the better quality sushi. Total paid less than $30 for two. I wouldn't recommend anyone to dine in at Sushi Express. Sakae Sushi is not much better than Sushi Express. #Sigh

#38 Goodbye

I'll be leaving for Japan in a bits and if you have followed me on instagram, you would know that my flying career is coming to an end. I really thank god for such a magnificent experience I had for the good 2years.
Is hard to bid goodbye and I'll miss those wonderful times I had during work with all of you. Missing those good times in Japan with colleagues having late night chats and supper.
A big thank you for making my life in Jetstar a wonderful one.
Life has been going downwards for me. Problems after problems. When can I put a stop to everything and have a break? I'm tired and I wish I could unload this heavy burden and rest. I'm willing to be a listener but sometimes, I get tired too. :( getting myself high and drunk all day long will no longer numb my feelings or even solve anything. I got to get myself back on track to my normal healthy life.

#36 Lotte Koala's March

Have you heard about LOTTE KOALA'S MARCH?

I believe many of you are familiar with this brand of snack. But there is something you may not know, there is a total of 365 different Koala characters. The crispy snack is one the best accompany when you are hungry and studying late at night. The cute characters make you want to Take a photo and Instagram it! (That's what people are doing isn't it?)
Dislike chocolate? Worry no more, there's not only chocolate but also strawberry and creamy milk.
My fav flavour out of the three. (Not a fan of chocolate)

Here's something even more amazing!
The usual you see after pouring out from wrapper.
The amazing chocball after removing from wrapper.
I tried the chocolate ball even though I dislike eat chocolate. It's better than I expected. Not too sweet and you will crave for more after the first bite. Yummmyyyy! The crunchiness and the delicious chocolate filling make me want to get more.

Wondering how did I get the chocball? Here you go.
(Ignore the sound at the background.) first time doing a video.
Just keep shaking it till you hear only one sound inside.

One box of snack but two ways of having it. Either the normal way or the chocball. Shaking to make chocolate ball helps to exercise your hand and arm. What a advantage!

Get yours now @ the nearest supermarket, marts or wherever there is.

#43 SAWADEEKA!

Hello my dearest READERS! Finally, I'm here for a proper update because I brought home my boyfriend's laptop. If you have followed me on Instagram, you would know the latest updates of me.

In the month of September, I went for a trip to Indonesia, Batam together with my boyfriend and the clique. It was a wonderful virgin trip and we stayed in Montigo Resort. Montigo Resort is really pretty and huge. The villa we got was facing the sea and it costs us SGD625 per night after discount. It was pricey but for the experiences, it's worth it! Here's some pictures of the villa! ENJOY~

Boyfriend and I on the ferry to Batam!

Our personal swimming pool located on the first floor of our Villa.

Second floor leads us to our rooms!

One of the bedroom with two super comfortable beds!

The other bigger bed room with super big toilet!

Here's the view of the toilet. there's separated shower area and toilet area beside the bathtub.
Huge ass big toilet!

Up the stairs, it will leads us to...

The big and spacious balcony!
(We bought our own bbq pits and trying to setup in the picture.)

Next's up, I started my new part-time job in Resort World Sentosa, Adventure Cove. Yes, a big changes to my job. I'm going for the sun and water instead of the sky and air pressure now. I still love flying and it's always my passion. I'm just taking a break from the jetlag. More holidays for me now on!

Can you see the color difference?

One of the friend I made at work and I'm glad to know you :)

In the month of October, I turned 22 and I had a simple celebration with friends and of course, my beloved boyfriend. Thank you for being wonderful and cooking the simple dishes for me. I love how he actually put in the effort to cook for me and look up on his old notes to cook some of my favourite dishes. Thank you baby for so loving me :)

Don't judge by the picture. Is really niceee!

I also had my first time ever experience to Halloween event! I'll never pay so much to scare myself. It was a invitation for all staffs and I went because I had Felicia to accompany me. We went in less than an hour and we are out without completing the whole park! Call me a coward all you want :X
This isn't scary though. I just randomly took a photo with the entry guy because I didn't take much photo inside. (Too busy screaming away)

And my yearly trip to bangkok never fails. That's explains that title of the post. I had a wonderful trip to Bangkok as well. I finally tried the ever-popular/famous Wanton mee also known as Dumpling noodle. It was really good and we had two bowls. I would have continue eating but I'm saving my stomach space for streetfood :P So the places we went were the usual place I always go, so nothing special. But I would love to recommend my hotel to all my readers. If you followed me on instagram, you would have seen this few pictures.
The ever-famous dumpling noodle from Pratunam.
It's at Soi19 which is located right next to Glow's hotel Mcdonald.

The popular Krisy Kreme cost us so much cheaper than Singapore's outlet.
So here's a box of treats for all of us!

Second day loots with boyfriend. The only day we bother to lay everything out and take a picture of it.

My happy boy and I found this mini can of Coke. He looks so happy in this picture <3

What's going to Bangkok and not having their Mango Sticky Rice?
So here's a pack for us to share while on the flight home.

On the very last day before we depart to the airport, we went for one last time shopping at MBK and got ourselves many good bargain! One tip about shopping in Bangkok: Shop owner will want to close the deal with their first customer because it means good luck to them. So try your best to get the best deal being the first customer of the day!

*we were all too busy shopping away. Most of the time, boyfriend and I are the only two taking photos non-stop! So I can't find any photo with Serene in it. SORRY!
While waiting for our room to be ready, we waited at the poolside which is also the place we will be having our breakfast!

My bed for the 3nights. Big and comfy!

Behind the mirror is the toilet with a big bathtub and separate shower area.

credits to the owner of the picture. This is how big the bathtub is. (fits two!)

Mini kitchen area with everything you will need.

Throughout my 4days 3nights there, I stay in Arcadia Suites which is located near Phloen Chit BTS. It's slightly off the shopping district but Terminal 21 isn't far from us. If you're looking for somewhere off the busy and noisy street this is a good place. And if you are planning for a long term stay, it will good as well. They provide washing machine in every room so there's not a need to spend money on laundry. The washing machine comes with a drying option so you can leave your clothes in the machine to wash and dry when you're out for shopping. That's what I did through out my trip. Bought new clothes so wash before I wore it. I have got sensitive skins so I can't wear it immediately. To save my house electricity and water, I washed all my dirty clothes there as well. :X It also has tuktuk services that send you in and out of the hotel which was really good for us after a tiring day of shopping and walking.

While resting our feets and the other two continue shopping away. I got the cap from Platinum Mall (FYI)
I'm really looking forward to more holiday trips with boyfriend. Thank you once again for being wonderful and I love you baby! <3

Lastly, I would like to say I'm, proud of my cousin who completed her training under Singapore Airline and she will flying off for her first SOLO soon! All the best love! <3
